Well Pets is a content based website, intended to build, over the coming years, a comprehensive resource for dog owners. To begin with we are concentrating on how we care for our dogs' health, both mental and physical. We recommend you start your exploration of Well Pets with "Tips for a Healthy Dog".
Our reasoning behind the concentration on dogs is simple - having raised dogs for almost 20 years, it's basically what we know. Many books have been written on the subject of dog care, and a plethora of information is available to the interested reader. In our opinion though, dog health books (by nature of needing 'something more' in order to get published) are filled with supurflous information. It's simply more detail than the average dog owner needs to know.
Our primary goal for this website is to distil the knowledge in the current literature, and present a simplified, relevency-first style of dog health resource.
Our site is not meant to be a replacement for proper, regular veterinarian care, simply a compliment to it. We try to qualify our opinions as much as we can, but they cannot be taken for anything more than opinion. You can read our site in any order wish. As you do you may notice some information is more basic while some is more in-depth or specific. Hopefully you'll find some information relevant to your situation, weather you're just getting a puppy, caring for your aging dog, or at some stage in between.
So welcome once again, and please bear with us while we keep writing to build our bulk of content up. If there is an area of dog health that we have not yet covered, please e-mail us and we will consider advancing it in the queue.
We hope to present some timeless advice in the age old realm of dog care, and also blend in some of our opinions on many modern aspects of the task. Let us show you the essentials of what you need to know to care for your dog properly, and offer them their best chance at a long, healthy life.
